DERMAPEN

Medical Mesoneedling Device

Microneedling
Dermapen

Dermapen is the world’s most advanced skin needling device that solves a variety of skin conditions including acne scarring, stretch marks, wrinkles and fine lines. Dermapen can stimulate wound healing, tightening, lifting and rejuvenation. With its small applicator for precise treatment and adjustable needle depth, Dermapen offers a superior solution to dermal roller techniques.

HOW DOES DERMAPEN WORK?

Dermapen encourages collagen production deep within the skin. The handheld device punctures the top layer of skin with multiple fine needles that are directed to the exact areas that need improvement. Because it does not damage the surface skin and works directly on the lower layers, Dermapen causes skin to rejuvenate itself from the bottom up. The thin, pen-like shape of Dermapen means that hard-to-reach areas like the nose or around the lip are easy to treat.

DOES DERMAPEN HURT AND WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

The depth of the needling during a Dermapen treatment is adjusted based on the needs of your skin. For treatments with shorter needles, only a slight sensation will be felt – similar to a tickle. When longer needles are required, a numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort.
There is little to no real downtime with a Dermapen treatment. Following a procedure, treated areas may be red like a sunburn. Mild swelling is usually seen for about three days. We can provide you with a special serum to apply for the first few days, but you can resume using regular skincare products by the third day following treatment. You should treat your skin gently for the next week or two, avoiding sunlight and alcohol based products.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

The number of Dermapen treatments you will need depends on the severity of your skin’s condition. Most patients require four to six treatments to obtain the significant results available through this procedure.
In the treatment of stretch marks, acne scars and other types of scarring it may be necessary for our doctors to extend your treatment beyond 6 sessions.

WHEN WILL YOU SEE RESULTS?

Results from a Dermapen treatment are typically visible within anywhere from one day to a week. Clear results are experienced by four weeks, but you may continue to see improvement for up to a year. The procedure causes your body to naturally produce collagen to heal itself from the disruption caused beneath the skin. As new collagen is created below, smoother skin can be seen on the surface.

WHAT OTHER TREATMENTS WORK WELL WITH DERMAPEN?

Dermapen treatments lead to collagen production from the deeps layers of the skin. Combining them with a surface treatment that encourages collagen on the top layers of skin will give you even more dramatic results. Dermapen treatments can be combined with chemical peels or microdermabrasion for a total skin resurfacing.

MESOTHERAPY

WHAT IS MESOTHERAPY?

Mesotherapy is a subspecialty of medicine, founded almost exclusively by the work of Dr Michel Pistor that utilises a technique where relatively painless, fine injections are place in and under the skin. Micronutrients, vitamins and conventional medications are injected to provide a variety of effects. This procedure is performed world-wide and is particularly popular in Europe and South America. The beneficial effects of mesotherapy are twofold: the needling in itself stimulates a healing response by the body to improve the quality of the skin; and the specific medication injected will also have a targeted effect. The aesthetic use of mesotherapy ranges from directed treatment to improve the general quality of the skin to injection lipolysis for body shaping and sculpting.

WHAT CAN MESOTHERAPY BE USED FOR IN AESTHETIC MEDICINE?

Mesotherapy is an incredibly versatile tool and can be used in a plethora of ways. Body and face sculpting mesotherapy can be used on many areas including the abdomen, love handles, thighs and hips, upper arms, double chin, jowls and fat pads under the eyes to mention a few. Mesotherapy can also be used to tighten the skin, improve surgical and acne scars, smoothen rough skin, reduce fine wrinkles, and even in the treatment of alopecia.

MesoGlow

Meso-Glow treatments utilises mesotherapy techniques to induce collagen production. It results in an immediate healthy glow and reverses many of the signs of ageing. It is an ideal treatment to target mild to moderate ageing of the face.

MesoLift

Meso-Lift uses mesotherapy techniques in its approach, by infusing the dermis layer of the skin with an abundance of nutrients, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and collagen stimulating medications. This treatment is more directed at moderate to severe skin ageing and is excellent at reversing fine wrinkles and stimulating the skin to produce new collagen.

MesoSculpt

The MesoSculpt procedure is used to treat stubborn localised regions of fat accumulations. These areas are often on the upper arms, hips, abdomen, thighs and chin. It is particularly effective in eliminating double chins to provide a leaner, younger look to the neck and face. This procedure is specifically meant for areas of fat that are resistant to the effects of weight loss via healthy dieting and exercise. A series of MesoSculpt injections are placed in specific points within the fat which allows the fat to be safely broken down and slowly eliminated from the body.
