MEET OUR DOCTORS
Our team of doctors are general practitioners with a special interest in Aesthetic Medicine (GPSI).
They have been practicing in the field of Aesthetics for the past 12 years and regularly speak at and attend national and international conferences and courses to keep up to date with the latest trends in the field. Both doctors have published articles, featured on radio and held many trainings for new doctors entering the aesthetic medicine realm.
Dr Shahien Dollie qualified at the University of Cape Town in 2006, and had gained experience in Family Medicine and Orthopaedics, before finding his passion for Aesthetic Medicine. Dr Dollie has been vice-president and serves on the scientific committee of AAMSSA, the Anti-ageing and Aesthetic Medicine Society of South Africa). He has also published multiple articles in various magazines and trains new doctors entering the field of aesthetic medicine, while still presents at local and international Aesthetic Congresses.

Dr Zeenit Sheikh qualified at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2008, and following internship, gained 4 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry prior to entering the exciting industry of Non-Surgical Aesthetic Medicine. She has published a contributory chapter in an international textbook, featuring adaptations of treatments for darker skin types. She has also held trainings for new aesthetic doctors and presented her approaches to the psychological impacts of skin conditions.
Both of our doctors have graduated cum laude with Advanced Diplomas in Aesthetic Medicine, reflecting their keen passion and commitment to the field of Aesthetic Medicine. This course, co-ordinated via the Foundation for Professional Development, is run over two years and focuses on a myriad of areas within Aesthetic Medicine. It is also the only Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA)-recognised aesthetic course in South Africa.
"While general practice has given me a good insight and understanding of medical conditions and health, and orthopaedics has taught me a great deal about the structure and form of the human body, it is within aesthetic medicine that elegance, beauty and art, and science, discipline and allopathic medicine have borders that are both shared and blurred. Thus by combining artistic creativity with sound scientific medical practices, aesthetic medicine allows us to help you bring out your inner elegance and beauty like the proverbial butterfly emerging from its cocoon."
Dr Shahien Dollie
"Under great mentorship, I have been privileged to learn the art of Psychiatry and integrate this in my management of all patients. A healthy body is nothing without a healthy mind. My experience in Psychiatry has proven to be a useful tool in the practice of Aesthetic Medicine. This has allowed me to not only enhance the existing beauty in the world, but also improve self-esteem and provide a holistic approach to health and wellbeing."
