MESOTHERAPY

Mesotherapy

WHAT IS MESOTHERAPY?

Mesotherapy is a subspecialty of medicine, founded almost exclusively by the work of Dr Michel Pistor that utilises a technique where relatively painless, fine injections are place in and under the skin. Micronutrients, vitamins and conventional medications are injected to provide a variety of effects. This procedure is performed world-wide and is particularly popular in Europe and South America. The beneficial effects of mesotherapy are twofold: the needling in itself stimulates a healing response by the body to improve the quality of the skin; and the specific medication injected will also have a targeted effect. The aesthetic use of mesotherapy ranges from directed treatment to improve the general quality of the skin to injection lipolysis for body shaping and sculpting.

WHAT CAN MESOTHERAPY BE USED FOR IN AESTHETIC MEDICINE?

Mesotherapy is an incredibly versatile tool and can be used in a plethora of ways. Body and face sculpting mesotherapy can be used on many areas including the abdomen, love handles, thighs and hips, upper arms, double chin, jowls and fat pads under the eyes to mention a few. Mesotherapy can also be used to tighten the skin, improve surgical and acne scars, smoothen rough skin, reduce fine wrinkles, and even in the treatment of alopecia.

MesoGlow

Meso-Glow treatments utilises mesotherapy techniques to induce collagen production. It results in an immediate healthy glow and reverses many of the signs of ageing. It is an ideal treatment to target mild to moderate ageing of the face.

MesoLift

Meso-Lift uses mesotherapy techniques in its approach, by infusing the dermis layer of the skin with an abundance of nutrients, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and collagen stimulating medications. This treatment is more directed at moderate to severe skin ageing and is excellent at reversing fine wrinkles and stimulating the skin to produce new collagen.

MesoSculpt

The MesoSculpt procedure is used to treat stubborn localised regions of fat accumulations. These areas are often on the upper arms, hips, abdomen, thighs and chin. It is particularly effective in eliminating double chins to provide a leaner, younger look to the neck and face. This procedure is specifically meant for areas of fat that are resistant to the effects of weight loss via healthy dieting and exercise. A series of MesoSculpt injections are placed in specific points within the fat which allows the fat to be safely broken down and slowly eliminated from the body.
